General Terms and Conditions

1. Cancellation

 

 

  • If the ride is canceled less than 48 hours before the scheduled time, we will charge you half of the total fare.
  • If the ride is canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, we will charge you the full fare.
  • If your booking is not reconfirmed, it will be canceled by us.

 

 


2. Appointments

 

Brussels Airport

  • Upon landing at Brussels Airport, you can find the driver at the JAVA coffee shop holding an Airtax sign (unless otherwise agreed).
  • We ask that you notify us at +32 (0) 479/285.285 if there is a delay of more than 45 minutes from the scheduled landing time.

Charleroi 'Brussels South' Airport

  • Upon landing at Charleroi, you can find the driver in the arrival hall near the Louis Delhaize store, holding an Airtax sign (unless otherwise agreed).
  • Please notify us at the following number in case of any delay: +32 (0) 479/285.285 

General

  • We ask that you always notify us in case of missed flights (e.g., during a layover) or flight changes (flight number, flight times, etc.). If the customer fails to notify us, the full fare will be charged/invoiced. Additionally, we cannot guarantee that a car/driver will be available.
  • In case of baggage issues or other problems upon arrival, please immediately contact the driver by phone.
  • If you provide us with incorrect information (e.g., giving the departure date instead of the arrival date), we will charge you double the fare.
  • If your flight lands earlier than scheduled, you may have to wait at the airport, as the designated driver may still be on their way to the airport with other customers. The driver will be present at the airport within a maximum of 30 minutes after the given landing time. We will do everything possible to have a driver at the airport on time.

3. Payment Methods

 

Individuals

  • Individuals must always pay the driver in cash (per ride). If desired, you can request a payment receipt from the driver.
  • Rides costing €125 or more must be paid in advance by bank transfer. Rides will only be performed if payment has been received on time.

Bedrijven

  • Cash
  • Companies can pay in cash or by invoice. However, this must be mentioned in advance along with the invoicing details.
  • If desired, payment can be made in cash to the driver, and we will send you the invoice after the rides have been completed..

General

  • If the invoice is not paid within 10 days of the invoice date, we will charge a 15% surcharge.

4. Booking

 

  • For a booking made within 12 hours, we charge a surcharge of €10 on the normal fare.
  • For a booking made within 2 hours, we charge a surcharge of €25 on the normal fare.
  • If you bring extra luggage (more than 1 suitcase + 1 hand luggage per person), this must be explicitly mentioned when making the reservation. If you are traveling with 3 people or fewer and have a lot of luggage that doesn’t fit in a car, we will automatically send a minibus. Naturally, the price for 4-6 persons or 7-8 persons will be charged (depending on the luggage). This way, we avoid surprises during pick-up and ensure we reach the airport without any issues.

 


5. Soiling/Damage

 
  • In the event of soiling the vehicle in any way, a fee of €350 will be charged to prepare the vehicle for the next customers. This fee must be paid immediately to the driver. Any additional cleaning costs from a specialized firm may also be charged to you, as well as any costs for the vehicle being temporarily unavailable.
  • In the event of damage to the vehicle in any way, a fee of €350 will be charged. This fee must be paid immediately to the driver. Any additional repair costs will be invoiced to you later, as well as any costs for the vehicle being temporarily unavailable.

 

 


6. Pets

 

Please always mention when making your reservation if a pet needs to be transported. We also expect the pet to be in a carrier so it can be transported in the trunk. If this is not mentioned during the reservation, the driver may refuse to transport the pet.


7. Eating

 

Eating or drinking alcohol in the vehicle is not allowed.


8. Seat Belt

 

Passengers are required to fasten their seat belts immediately upon entering the vehicle. Any fines resulting from non-compliance with this obligation will be passed on to the passenger.


9. Smoking

 

There is an opportunity to smoke before entering the taxi. Smoking is prohibited in Airtax vehicles.


10. Types of Transportation

 

Airtax only provides private transportation. This means there will be no stops en route to pick up other passengers.

 


11. Child Seats

 

Child seats and booster seats can be provided FREE of charge. Please mention this explicitly when making your reservation.


12. Stopovers/Extra Passengers

 
  • If a stopover is required, please clearly mention this when placing your order. Unannounced stopovers will not be made by the driver.
  • If extra passengers join that were not mentioned when booking, the full fare will be charged for each additional person.

 


13. Delays

 

Airtax cannot be held liable for any damage caused by us or by force majeure. However, Airtax will do everything necessary to prevent this. In case of negligence, the compensation can never exceed the agreed fare.


14. Waiting Time

 

  • A waiting fee of €10 per started quarter-hour will be charged if the taxi has to wait longer than 10 minutes at the pick-up location (e.g., at home or another location).
  • For airport pick-ups, a waiting time of 30 minutes after landing is included in the price. After 30 minutes, the driver will charge a waiting fee of €10 per started quarter-hour.
